SIR Special Italian Roots — Pizzeria

A delight from start to finish. Wonderful, fresh food with excellent flavour combinations. The fried zucchini flowers are particularly incredible. Staff are friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting Monopoli.

For those of you in Monopoli who are looking for a good restaurant and the best Pizza in town, please go to SIR. Excellent service, high quality& very tasty food as well as a wide variety of beers, all at reasonable prices. Highly recommended is also the SOUFFLÈ AL CIOCCOLATO!!! You definitely need to try it, if you love the taste of chocolate! Particularly the melted chocolate core inside is incredible.

Absolutely amazing restaurant. Really just found it by chance, but it was really worth it. Fabulous good, see pictures below, great atmosphere, great staff, really a credit to everyone involved in it. The starter below was divine, really something different from what we had got before. It really worked. As it was a night of a festival, they were only doing pizza, so we had the two below. Just brilliantly done. They weren’t found desert, but as it was our anniversary, they did one, chocolate lasagna (no pasta in it, just a name for it). Anyways, it was really well executed and as good as any I’ve eaten in any restaurant, and I’ve been to too many. On the way out, ran into the chef, complemented him on the meal. Turns out they only locally source from the area, zero km or miles on the food, hence the freshness and vibrancy of everything they presented to us on the night. Pity this restaurant is so far away, it deserves to be appreciated on a wider stage. In my opinion, do yourself a favor and visit if in the area. Well done SIR
