Liked a lot the raw fish there, the European Sashimi style with vinegar and lemon, everything is so fresh, was impressed. And the special pasta was unique, without sauce but rich flavors . The dessert was also a surprise, hot puff with lemon creamy stuffing. And the service was also praised.

I came here twice during my stay in Bari. The first day was a decent experience. Food was great - especially the Cozze and the Pasta all Assassina. The sscond day a grumpy old lady told me that they have no tables available. The Restaurant was completely empty. I said I can wait. She was very unfriendly and she told me to leave.

I really wanted to try spaghetti all' assasina and I think this is the best place for it! The food is great, the service also. One of our best dinner in Bari!

A dream come true! Old fashioned restaurant in Bari central, serving excellent local dishes with fantastic service. I expected crazy prices, but really felt looked after and satisfied. The stir-fried chickory was bitter and excellent, the pesche crudo was gorgeous, and the spagetti all'assassina was everything I had hoped it to be: all hail to perfect spice and the maillard reaction!

We had the pleasure of dining at Al Sorso Preferito, the birthplace of Spaghetti all’Assassina, and it did not disappoint. From the reservation call—where a kind woman patiently helped me despite my beginner Italian—to the warm, welcoming atmosphere, everything felt special. We ordered the house red wine and were surprised with a generous pitcher—smooth, local, and incredibly easy to drink. Our server recommended the fried artichokes for aperitivo, and they were excellent. The Spaghetti all’Assassina was the star of the meal: bold, spicy, and absolutely delicious. My husband’s orecchiette al ragù was also fantastic. Great food, great service, and a must-visit in Bari. 🍝🍷
