The experience at Dentro le Mura was overall average. The insalata di mare was good, but the spaghetti con vongole was far too greasy and heavy with oil — and I strongly doubt it was extra virgin olive oil. Unfortunately, our table was placed right close to the toilets. I can understand that fitting in an extra table means more customers and more revenue, but every time someone went to the bathroom, an unpleasant smell of urine reached our table. This is simply unacceptable, and that table should not exist. Another issue is the air conditioning pipe that runs across the restaurant. Because of the temperature difference between the cold air from the AC and the warmer restaurant interior, condensation formed on the pipe. Drops of water fell to the floor, creating a serious slipping hazard. (I even saw some guests moving their chairs away because the dripping would go on their clothes). This is something that should be addressed immediately for safety reasons. Finally, the waiting time for the dishes was quite long, which added to the overall disappointment. In short: some average food, but let down by poor conditions and lack of attention to comfort and safety.
We were very positively surprised. We went here because we thought it was a take away pizzeria. When we got there the friendly host welcomed us into the restaurant in the back. In the end we dined there for like 2-3 hours and we had a lovely time, the food was delicious and the ambiance was great. The only knockoff was the tempature, it was quite muggy inside. But definitely worth going back!!
This Pizzeria Ristorante was recommended by a friend. So we were excited to go. The staff is friendly and helpful. The place is clean. Strange remark: ladies, check the ladies room, a flower awaits you... It's very difficult to make a choice: a long (pizza) menu. We wished for a 'deeper' pizza experience: the pizza was missing a bit of taste. But don't get us wrong: the pizza was good. But we had better, and then it's dangerous to compare... Recommended! It seemed like a joke, but it wasn't funny. The prices seemed normal, but the portion size didn't even cover half of the plate. I got two thin, crusty pieces of fish fillet with not even one whole potato, but just a 1/4 of it. Considering they use frozen fish, it feels like a joke and despite being a fillet, it was full of bones. Serving a fillet with sharp bones is a safety hazard. What about the taste? It was okay, but very mild and without any flavor. We paid the price of a normal dinner, but we left still hungry. I won't bother to go there again. EDIT (Response to the owner): Your sarcastic response with laughing emojis says more about your business than my review ever could. Mocking a customer for legitimate complaints (bones in a fillet, tiny portions) instead of taking responsibility is the worst kind of anti-advertising. You are showing every future guest exactly how you treat people. €39 is not an excuse for bad quality or rudeness.
I can truly recommend this place! As a person with coeliac disease, I was amazed by how many options on the menu can be prepared gluten-free. The food was absolutely delicious, and the service was excellent and kind. ☺️
